About Wandering Nurse Games
Wandering Nurse Games is a small independent website that hosts free HTML5 browser games and original articles about casual gaming. The site is owned and operated by a single individual who writes, codes, and publishes everything you see here. It has been online since 2019.
What we publish
The site has two main sections:
- The games library, which currently hosts twelve original HTML5 games covering memory, arcade, puzzle, word, strategy, and skill categories. Every game is built from scratch in hand-written HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No proprietary engines, no re-hosted titles.
- The game blog, which publishes in-depth strategy guides, historical deep-dives into classic games, and technical explainers about the web platform. Every article is original, between 800 and 1,800 words, and not republished from anywhere else.
Why the unusual name
The site originated as a personal blog written by a travel nurse who used short browser games as a mental reset between hospital shifts. Over time the games section grew into the main draw, and the original content became a smaller archive. We pivoted to make games the primary focus while keeping the original name as a nod to the site's history.
How we make money
Wandering Nurse Games is supported by display advertising. Ads may appear around game content and between blog articles. We place ads carefully so they do not disrupt gameplay: you will never see an ad inside a game's playing surface, and no ad overlay blocks a button or interactive element. We do not show interstitial or pre-roll ads before games start.
We do not run affiliate content, sponsored posts, or pay-to-rank arrangements. Every game that appears on the site is here because we built it. Every article reflects the honest opinions of the author.
Privacy and data
Our games do not collect personal data. High scores, best times, and preferences are stored only in your browser's local storage, a standard web feature that never transmits data off your device. The wider site uses standard analytics and may show personalized ads. Full details are in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Every game must work instantly. Every article must teach something. Every page must work without sign-up. Those three rules drive every decision we make.
Quality commitments
- Instant play. Every game loads in under a second. A game that takes longer is not casual — it is a download.
- Teaching, not filler. If we publish an article, it has to include real strategy, real history, or real technical explanation.
- No sign-ups. No accounts, no email capture, no paywalls. Everything is free and anonymous.
- Original code. We write everything ourselves. The entire codebase of every game is inspectable with browser developer tools.
Corrections and contact
